4th and 5th Graders Reading Olympics

Attention 4th and 5th Graders
interested in joining
Unionville’s Reading Olympics Team!!!

It’s time to sign up to participate in the Chester County Reading Olympics! Teams of students collaborate to read books, and then answer questions about the books during the Reading Olympics.  This is a celebration of reading, rather than a contest, and all participants are awarded ribbons. The teams generate great excitement about this reading event, and the experience is rewarding for everyone involved. A parent or guardian will need to drive you there and remain at the Reading Olympics, held on, May 8th or 10th, in the evening at Phoenixville High School.

To help you prepare, Mrs. Wren and I will be holding meetings on Fridays, after school in the UE Library, on the following dates: 1/6, 2/10, 3/17, 4/21, and 5/5.  Parents can meet you for pick-up in the school lobby at 4:30.  By joining the team you are agreeing to read, attend the meetings and participate in the Reading Olympics event.

Please discuss with your parents your ability to participate. Sign-up at by Monday, December 19th.  Don’t forget to have a parent note to attend each meeting.

Best regards and happy reading!
Mrs. Langdon
